Hand made by Julia
website was launched in November 2006.
We make and sell our own hand made cards and gifts from our own designs.
As many of our card designs are one offs, please contact us first if you
require more than one of a design and we will be able to advise you whether this can be achieved
or not. We reserve the right on
duplicate cards to use similar coloured card or embellishments, to match the
first one. Have a browse round
my site and add whatever takes your fancy to the shopping basket. Once you have
decided on your purchases proceed to checkout and follow the online
instructions.
We aim to reply to email enquiries within 24
hours; we generally work office hours, but often work outside of these times.
We never ignore emails, even if we are unable to help with your particular
enquiry, we will still reply. If you have not received a response it is likely
we have not received your email so please try again. We do not have a telephone
number. As we are an internet only retailer email is our preferred method of
contact - unfortunately if we are tied up on the phone, we are unable to process
orders so keeping it this way makes our mail order service as efficient as
possible.
About Payment
There is no minimum order amount.
We accept payment
by credit/debit cards via secure online PayPal payments. You do not need a
PayPal account to use PayPal. PayPal
accepts most major credit/debit cards, just follow the clear instructions.
If you wish to pay by cheque please email us with your order details and we will
send you an invoice, we will need to allow it to clear for at least 5 working
days at the bank before sending the goods out to you.
At the moment, Hand
made by Julia is not VAT registered. This means we cannot issue you with
VAT invoices. NO additional taxes are applied to the prices quoted on this
website.
We never see any of the details you enter at checkout except your name and
address and the goodies you have purchased.
About Delivery
We aim to dispatch
orders on the day after receipt of the order.
In the cases of large orders, this may take a few days and we will let
you know an estimated time via email.
You will receive an email to let you know that we have received your
order and another to confirm that your order has been sent.
If you live outside the UK and wish to
purchase items from us, please contact us detailing the items you wish to
purchase and your address. We will then supply you a postage price.
Once goods have been despatched, delivery time is out of our control.
Goods are packaged in padded jiffy
envelopes or boxes with protective bubble wrap.
We support recycling and to keep costs down we may re-use packaging from our
suppliers. Please recycle your packaging where possible.
All orders will be
dispatched Monday to Friday by Royal Mail second class. If you require a
special delivery arrangement please contact us for advice.
Postage and packing
is charged on the following rating scale:
For orders up to
£3.50 = £0.75
For orders from
£3.51 and up to £7.00 = £1.50
For orders from
£7.01 and up to £14.00 = £2.00
For orders from
£14.01 and up to £28.00 = £2.75
For orders from
£28.01 and upwards = £4.25 (For larger quantities, postal charges may vary.
We will contact you to confirm)
We hold no responsibility for any delays with
delivery due to Royal Mail.
About Returns
At Hand made by
Julia we want you to be delighted with all your purchases.
If for any reason you feel an
item is not what you expected then please email
us. We will happily
refund the cost of the returned items, minus postage costs, assuming that the
item is in the same condition as when it was dispatched.
Regrettably we cannot give refunds on personalised cards.
Trade Customers
We offer trade
prices on most of our items. Should you wish to enquire about trade prices
please email us with your
business details and we will be able to discuss it further.
